A poll is a survey or questionnaire about a subject that is given to people in order to assess their opinion about the subject. Polls can be about anything as long as there's a question and a variety of responses to choose from.
A poster is a large piece of paper with words and/or pictures on it. Posters can be purely decorative, or they can be an advertisement for something.
Reading is a way of converting written words into spoken words. You can either read out loud or read inside your head so noone else can hear you.
People who can't see can still read books. There are special books made for blind people that have patterns of small bumps instead of letters. This way of writing is called braille.
A secret is something nobody else knows but you. Sometimes you share your secrets with your best friends. If someone tells you a secret, you shouldn't tell anyone else.
A sign is something that conveys some kind of meaning. Signs might be made up of pictures, words, or a combination of both. Many signs are just symbols, so that people will recognize what they mean no matter what language they speak. Signs don't need to be painted on a board - for example, deaf people communicate with sign language, using their hands to make symbols.
